Obiettivi formativi

 

- The course aims to the acquisition and / or enhancement of the use and form of the English language approximately level B1 of the Common European Framework; the use of the four skills, receptive and productive in different contexts; the development of Life Competences; multilingualism and pluriculturalism; learning English in specific contexts (English for Specific Purposes for Primary Teachers) ; elements of language teaching focussing on the CLIL English language teaching methodology and text analysis.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi

Al termine dell’insegnamento lo studente:

CONOSCENZA E CAPACITÀ DI COMPRENSIONE: lo studente dovrà dimostrare di avere acquisito un grado di conoscenza e di comprensione di contenuti linguistici (strutture linguistiche, comprensione ed analisi di testi scritti e orali riferiti all'ambito di studio)  almeno di livello B1 (CEFR).

CAPACITÀ DI APPLICARE CONOSCENZA E COMPRENSIONE: lo studente dovrà dimostrare di saper applicare la conoscenza acquisita e la comprensione dei contenuti didattici erogati, sia a livello di strutture linguistiche, attraverso il superamento della prova d'accertamento scritta finale (approvato/pass), sia a livello di glottodidattica, attraverso una presentazione orale incentrata sulle tematiche affrontate.

AUTONOMIA DI GIUDIZIO: lo studente dovrà dimostrare di saper analizzare in modo critico ed in autonomia il materiale didattico disponibile, e di proporre anche attività di  autoapprendimento in autonomia.  

ABILITÀ COMUNICATIVE: In linea con gli obiettivi formativi gli studenti dovranno dimostrare di essere in grado di: utilizzare la lingua secondo il livello B1; di essere in grado di comunicare in inglese sulle tematiche di glottodidattica affrontate.

CAPACITÀ DI APPRENDIMENTO:  lo studente dovrà dimostrare una capacità di apprendere i contenuti didattici di un livello almeno pari al livello B1 nonché i contenuti di glottodidattica proposti (CLIL), come descritto tra gli obiettivi formativi.

Expected learning outcomes:

KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING SKILLS students must prove to have acquired knowledge and comprehension of language content – the structures of the language, comprehension and analysis of written and oral texts – at a level of competence equivalent to B1 (CEFR).

USE OF KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING SKILLS: students must prove to be able to use the knowledge and the learning skills developed during the course by passing the final written examination and by creating a presentation focused on 'CLIL’.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:students will have to show that they are able to analyse the teaching material available in a critical and independent way, and to further practise the language with self-study activities, working independently.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:according to the overall goals described above, students will have to show that they have achieved a sufficient level of oral communication skills in English and that they can therefore: use the language at B1 level;  talk about teaching (CLIL) and communicate in the classroom.

LEARNING ABILITIES:students will have to demonstrate to have developed a range of study skills in the subject area equivalent to B1 level, as illustrated in the overall goals.

Modalità di insegnamento

Il  laboratorio si svilupperà in modalità a distanza, in sincrono, utilizzando  strategie differenti  in relazione alle attività proposte, dalla didattica frontale alla flipped classroom, dai lavori svolti in autonomia a quelli di coppia o di gruppo. Il laboratorio prevede 32 ore. La frequenza è obbligatoria (70%  delle presenze).  L'esito positivo dell'esame finale permetterà l'accesso al quarto anno.

 

The language laboratory will be developed in distant learning, in synchronous, using different strategies in relation to the proposed activities, from the teacher-centred approach  to the flipped classroom, from activities carried out independently to those in pairs or  groups. The language laboratory is a 32-hour course. Attendance is mandatory (70% of attendance). The positive outcome of the final exam will allow access to the fourth year course.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

L'esame finale verte su: 

- una sezione dedicata alla grammatica: test con domande a scelta multipla e/o frasi da completare con elemento linguistico corretto (lavoro individuale) valutato in 30esimi (voto minimo per superare l'esame 18/30);

- una 'Reading Comprehension', con domande a scelta multipla (lavoro individuale), valutata in 30esimi (voto minimo per superare l'esame 18/30);

- una prova orale che si basa sulla presentazione di un 'Project work', lavoro realizzato dagli studenti suddivisi in sottogruppi, sull'argomento di glottodidattica studiato durante il corso. Valutatazione individuale in 30esimi (voto minimo per superare l'esame 18/30).

La valutazione finale verrà pertanto calcolata con la media dei singoli voti. 

 

 

 

The final exam is about: 

- a section dedicated to grammar: test with multiple-choice questions and/or sentences to be completed with the correct linguistic element (individual work), evaluated in a 30-marks paper (minimum grade to pass exam 18/30);

- a 'Reading Comprehension', with multiple-choice questions (individual work), evaluated in 30-marks paper (minimum grade to pass the exam 18/30);

- an oral test based on the presentation of a 'Project work', work carried out by the students divided into groups on the teacher training area covered during the course. Individual evaluation in 30-marks paper (minimum grade to pass exam 18/30).

The final evaluation will therefore be the average of the individual grades.

Approfondimento e consolidamento degli aspetti  linguistici, forma e uso, della Lingua Inglese; sviluppo delle abilità ricettive e produttive; riflessione linguistica e analisi testuale; applicazione di glottodidattica relativa alla metodologia CLIL.

Qui di seguito, le strutture linguistiche che verranno approfondite durante il corso e che saranno oggetto dell’esame scritto finale:

1st and 2nd conditional sentences. Verb patterns, ing/infinitive (all types). Verbs of perception. Verbs with two objects. Comparative and superlative adjectives (1). Defining and non-defining relative clauses. The Infinitive and the –ing form (present, past). Collective nouns, plural nouns, noun+noun. Something, somewhere, somebody etc. Adverbs of manners (regular and irregular).Indirect questions. False friends. Expressions of time: by, in, within, for, over, until, by the time + special expressions in/on time etc

- Deepening and consolidation of the linguistic aspects, form and use of the English Language; development of receptive and productive skills; linguistic reflection and textual analysis;  language teaching based on CLIL methodology.
