L'insegnamento concorre alla realizzazione degli obiettivi formativi del Corso di Studi in Scienze della Formazione Primaria, fornendo agli studenti le chiavi di lettura critico-letterarie indispensabili alla comprensione e interpretazione dei testi letterari, all’interno dell’area caratterizzante “I saperi della scuola” (Corso di Studi magistrale a ciclo unico, LM-85bis – rif. SUA-CdS, quadro A4.a):
In questo a.a. 2025-2026 viene sperimentato un modulo di lettoscrittura, con l'obiettivo formativo di insegnare ai futuri maestri come far apprendere la lettura e la scrittura ai bambini di classe prima della scuola primaria.
The course contributes to achieving the educational objectives of the Degree Program in Primary Education Sciences by providing students with the critical-literary tools necessary for understanding and interpreting literary texts, within the core area “Knowledge for Teaching” (Single-cycle Master’s Degree Program, LM-85bis – cf. SUA-CdS, section A4.a):
to gain knowledge of the Italian literary tradition, particularly of the 20th and 21st centuries;
to understand the educational potential of literary texts, regarded as a model for dialogue with oneself and with others, based on hermeneutic respect;
to learn how to interpret, analyze, and comment on literary texts.
In the academic year 2025–2026, a reading and writing module is being piloted, with the educational goal of training future teachers in how to teach reading and writing to first-grade primary school children.

Course Title: "The Hope of a New Morning". 20th-Century Narrative
Required Readings:
During the 2025–2026 academic year, a literacy module is being piloted for all students (both attending and non-attending). The aim is to teach future primary school teachers how to help first-grade children learn to read and write. A specific literacy technique will be presented, with a digital adaptation. Experts will be invited to the lessons and will work with students divided into groups.
All the program is valid for the entire academic year and applies to both attending and non-attending students. Those who do not take the exam within the academic year and/or are transferring from another degree program and/or belong to the old degree system are kindly asked to contact the instructors.
L'insegnamento consiste di 28 ore di lezione (4CFU), così distribuite:
21 ore (3 CFU): letture, commenti, riflessioni teorico-critiche, esercitazioni sugli argomenti trattati;
7 ore (1 CFU): modulo sperimentale dedicato alla lettoscrittura.
L'attività didattica prevede la partecipazione attiva degli studenti. DURANTE LA PRIMA LEZIONE saranno spiegate dettagliatamente la struttura dell'insegnamento, la modalità d'esame, di preparazione/supporto, la griglia di valutazione. Si raccomanda LA PARTECIPAZIONE DI TUTTI GLI STUDENTI, ANCHE DI EVENTUALI NON FREQUENTANTI.
La frequenza non è obbligatoria, ma caldamente consigliata.
Il corso offre esercitazioni facoltative (prevalentemente svolte in aula), al fine di monitorare/preparare lo studente all'esame finale.
The course consists of 28 hours of instruction (4 ECTS credits), distributed as follows:
21 hours (3 ECTS): readings, commentary, theoretical and critical reflections, and practical exercises on the topics covered;
7 hours (1 ECTS): an experimental module dedicated to reading and writing instruction.
The teaching methodology encourages active student participation. During the first lesson, the course structure, exam format, preparation/support resources, and evaluation criteria will be explained in detail. All students are strongly encouraged to attend, including those who may plan not to attend regularly.
Attendance is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended.
The course offers optional exercises (mainly conducted in class) to help monitor and support students in preparing for the final exam.
Esame scritto in presenza. Si prevede un esonero durante l'ultima lezione del corso, eventualmente diviso due turni, magari in giorni diversi (penultima lezione), a seconda della numerosità degli studenti partecipanti.
Nella valutazione della prova scritta si terrà conto principalmente delle capacità di analisi e commento dei testi, della capacità di collocare correttamente i medesimi all’interno del panorama letterario, dell’originalità e dell’autonomia di giudizio, della correttezza di lingua, contenuto e forma dell’elaborato scritto, della qualità dell'esposizione, della competenza nell'impiego del lessico specialistico della disciplina.
La prova scritta, ESAME FINALE (compreso l'esonero), della durata di 60 minuti, prevede 4 domande a risposta aperta. Esempi di domande saranno presentati durante alcune esercitazioni facoltative, caricate su Moodle. La griglia di valutazione delle domande sarà illustrata durante la prima lezione e caricata su Moodle.
Per il modulo sperimentale di lettoscrittura sarà richiesto a tutti gli studenti (sia frequentanti sia non frequentanti) di elaborare una attività da inviare al docente che terrà il modulo (modalità e tempi saranno indicati all'inizio del corso, con previsione di consegna entro la quinta settimana di lezione). Tale attività, che si inizierà a elaborare in aula sotto la guida del docente (per gli studenti presenti in aula), si terminerà-consegnerà entro i termini indicati sopra. Essa sarà valutata fino a un massimo di 2 punti, che si sommeranno alla valutazione della prova scritta (4 domande aperte, tempo 1 ora).
I 2 punti dell'attività di lettoscrittura saranno valutati in base ai descrittori di Dublino, con particolare attenzione alla coerenza, alla pertinenza e all'originalità del prodotto presentato:
per una attività valutata tra 29/30 e 30/30 lode: punti 2;
per una attività valutata tra 24/30 e 28/30: punti 1;
per una attività valutata tra 20/30 e 23/30: punti 0,5;
per una attività valutata tra 18/30 e 19/30: punti 0 (superata con punti 0);
per una attività valutata come insufficiente, saranno chieste integrazioni, affinché raggiunga un livello almeno sufficiente (in tali casi, il punteggio attribuito sarà pari a quello indicato per il range tra 18/30 e 19/30- vedere sopra).
La griglia di valutazione dell'attività di lettoscrittura sarà illustrata durante la prima lezione e caricata su Moodle.
TUTTI gli elementi elencati sopra (domande + attività di lettoscrittura) saranno considerati per esprimere il voto finale (in trentesimi).
Written exam in person. A midterm test is scheduled during the final class of the course and may be split into two groups—possibly held on different days (e.g., during the penultimate class)—depending on the number of participating students.
In evaluating the written exam, primary attention will be given to the student's ability to analyze and comment on texts, to place them appropriately within the literary context, to demonstrate originality and independent critical thinking, to write with linguistic, content, and formal accuracy, to express ideas clearly, and to use the specialized vocabulary of the discipline competently.
The written final exam (including the midterm test), which lasts 60 minutes, consists of four open-ended questions. Examples of questions will be presented during some of the optional practice sessions and uploaded to Moodle. The grading rubric for the questions will be explained during the first class and made available on Moodle.
For the experimental literacy module, all students (both attending and non-attending) will be required to develop an activity to be submitted to the instructor in charge of the module. The methods and deadlines will be communicated at the beginning of the course, with submission expected by the fifth week of lessons. This activity, which attending students will begin working on in class under the guidance of the instructor, must be completed and submitted within the indicated timeframe. It will be assessed for up to a maximum of 2 points, which will be added to the score of the written exam (4 open-ended questions, duration: 1 hour).
The 2 points for the literacy activity will be awarded based on the Dublin Descriptors, with particular attention to the coherence, relevance, and originality of the submitted work:
For an activity evaluated between 29/30 and 30/30 with honors: 2 points;
For an activity evaluated between 24/30 and 28/30: 1 point;
For an activity evaluated between 20/30 and 23/30: 0.5 points;
For an activity evaluated between 18/30 and 19/30: 0 points (passed with 0 points);
For an activity deemed insufficient, students will be asked to make revisions until it reaches at least a sufficient level (in such cases, the score awarded will correspond to the 18/30–19/30 range—see above).
The evaluation rubric for the literacy activity will be explained during the first lesson and uploaded to Moodle.
ALL the elements listed above (exam questions + literacy activity) will be considered in determining the final grade (out of 30).
